I met Butchie back in 1990, introduced by my brother, Michael Magner. They were always so playful and had a running joke that ( they traded me for a bear pelt & 2 pinto pony's) !!!

We lived in the Florida Keys, his home away from home.
Allen loved the Ocean, and made his life's work living off the Ocean, collecting marine tropicals, diving up specimens to ship all over the world. He built the most amazing self-sustaining marine aquariums.
Allen taught me more about marine biology in 3 years than I could have ever learned in a University. He was a true asset to the Ichthyology Profession, and his presence in this field will be sorely missed .

Quickwitted with an infectious sense of humor, his gorgeous blonde hair and his sea green blue eyes were an easy win, all whom met Allen loved him.
I can remember him saying, " I've seen better looking heads on cabbages", or "don't say you're sorry, buy me something"
(a term I still use today).
He was so funny, always laughed - working with him, he worked hard and played hard.
I can remember sitting in JoJo's and him asking really big guys on to arm wrestle !

My entire family loved Allen, and we are profoundly sad to learn of his passing.
My prayers go out to his sisters, Janet and Helen, 🙏🏻💙🙏🏻 his Nieces and Nephews and to all whom loved him !
Rest In Peace, dear friend... you are free now ...
fly into the Milky Way
I'll see you again one day,...
I always loved you, Butchie, and will forever.
the Norwegian Bridge Troll lives on !
