Kim Allan Rowley

KIM ALLAN ROWLEY, age 60, of Reading, passed away Friday, November 24th at home after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born Saturday, May 4th, 1957 to Floyd and Ethel (Rogers) Rowley, in Worthington, MN. Kim was the youngest of five children. He grew up in Reading, Minnesota and attended the Reading Elementary and continued his education in Worthington schools. Kim's favorite things as a child were to spend time with friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Kim met the love of his life, Karen in 1983 and they were married on March 17, 1984 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Kim and Karen were blessed with their four beautiful children: Angela, Adam, Allan and Alivia. Kim worked at Koppy Motors for twenty years and spent the last twenty one years, up until his illness, at Jaycox Implement as the service manager. At both places, he enjoyed meeting and visiting with people.

Kim loved to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, watch Minnesota Vikings football games, NASCAR races, and American Pickers. His most favorite activities included spending time with his family and mowing the lawn.

Those left to cherish Kim's memory are his wife, Karen Rowley, Reading; four children, Angela and Eric Murray, Elkhorn NE; Adam and Rebecca Hagerman, McGuire Air Force Base, NJ; Allan Rowley and Kayla Markus, Bigelow MN; and Alivia Rowley and Heath Kingery, Reading MN; nine grandchildren, Tyree Murray, Tia Murray, Jacob Hagerman, Brooklyn Hagerman, Jackson Hagerman, Lilliana Hagerman, Ariya Hagerman, Alaya Rowley, and Haidynn Kingery; a sister, Connie (Loren) Johanning, Heron Lake; a brother, Doug Rowley, Estherville, IA; sister and brothers-in-law, Stan Vogler, Spearfish, SD; Dennis and Deb Johnson, Brewster, MN; Brian and Carmen Johnson, Brewster MN; Steve and Lori Burdick, Heron Lake MN; and Jim and Louise Naumann, Brewster, MN; and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Rowley; father and mother-in-law, Don and Donna Johnson; sisters, Marilyn Vogler, Judy Pomranke and her husband, Wilbur; sister-in-law, Aggie Rowley, a nephew, Lonnie Pomranke, and a cousin, Ginger Rogers.

   Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Monday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral will be 10 am Tuesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Mark Schreiber. Burial will be in the Summit Lake Cemetery in Reading.

   Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, is in charge of arrangements.
