LOZETTA DENNO, age 87, of Worthington, died Friday, November 25, 2011, at her home. She was born February 11, 1924, in Fulda, to Fred and Agatha (Keitges) Elskamp. After graduation from Fulda High School, she entered nurses training at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Lozetta graduated as a RN in June of 1945. She was employed at McKennen Hospital as a surgical nurse until her marriage on October 18, 1948, to Orvalle Denno at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Fulda. The couple made their home in Worthington where Orvalle was the watchmaker and manager of Larson’s Jewelry. Lozetta treasured her time as daycare provider for the children of Dan and Carol Blankenship, did volunteer work for her elderly neighbors, taught in St. Mary pre-school Sunday School Program, hosted St. Mary Kindergarten School’s Round-Up for sixteen years, delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women.
   Lozetta is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Denno, Worthington; Mary (Robert) Wilson, Ocala, FL; and Ann and Ann’s good friend, Lee Dailey, Worthington; five sisters and three brothers, Coletta (Marvin) Hayward, Des Moines, IA; Ann (Gene) Kennedy, Hiram, GA; Agnes Malters, Fulda; Colleen (Lee) Woznak, Alexandria, VA; Sr. Yvonne Elskamp, Assisi Heights, Rochester; John (Kathy) Elskamp, Fulda; Fr. Fred Elskamp, Tipton, MO; and David Elskamp, St. Peter. She is also survived by her four daycare children, Daniel (Kris) Blankenship; Dawn Blankenship and her husband, Rafael Fernandez; Derek (Bridget) Blankenship & Dustin Blankenship; and many nieces & nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orvalle in 1994; and her two oldest brothers, Robert & Philip Elskamp.
   Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:30 to 7 pm, with parish prayers at 7pm, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Frs. James Calahan & Fred Elskamp. Burial will be at 3pm Wednesday at St. Mary Cemetery in Worthington.
