MILDRED RUTH ROBINSON, age 99, of Luverne, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. She was born April 18, 1918, in Plankinton, SD, to Thomas and Marie (Spease) Dorothy.

   Mildred married Thomas Russell Robinson on April 12, 1942, in Adrian. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian for a short time before moving to Worthington. Mildred worked at the Worthington Hospital and later, in the cafeteria at the Worthington High School. In 1992, they moved back to Luverne.

   She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne; and the Hannah Circle. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles and was a Hospice Volunteer.

   Mildred is survived by her daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Watts, Luverne; son, David Robinson, Vancouver, WA; three grandsons, Russell Whitehead, Paul Whitehead and Alan Robinson; a niece; and three nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas on April 22, 1996; and two sisters.

   A memorial service will be 10 am Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Chaplain Thomas Vogt. A time of fellowship will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Burial of cremains will be in the Adrian Cemetery.
