I had the honor of serving as Southwest District Superintendent of the United Methodist Church from 2003 until 2011. During my tenure I had the privilege of getting to know a number of faithful Christians in the Adrian and Magnolia Congregations. Richard was counted as one of the many faithful. I remember him as a kind and gentle soul whose words and actions were a testament to his love for God and God's people. My sincerest of Christian sympathies to Richards family and the friends he loved so dearly.
