PAUL WILLIAM LENZ, age 74, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Ellsworth, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was born May 14, 1932, in Ellsworth, to William and Clara (Cordes) Lenz. Paul attended and graduated from Ellsworth High School.
Paul married Mary Frawley on November 12, 1983, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth. After their marriage they lived on the family farm in rural Ellsworth. Paul enjoyed farming until he retired in 1993. They continued to live on the farm after they retired and enjoyed their winters in Arkansas and California. They moved to Sioux Falls in April of 2006.
He was a past member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth. He enjoyed golfing and dancing in his free time.
Paul is survived by his four children, Sherrie (Donald) McDonald, Pomona, California; William (Joyce) Lenz, Algona, IA; Michele (Irvin, Jr.) Schons, Rushmore; Ranee (David) Basse, Amarillo, TX; three step-children, Rita (Gary) Bush, Magnolia; Robert (Dixie) Feuerstein, LeMars, IA; Steven Feuerstein, Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Irene Bronikowski, Waukesha, WI; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife Loraine.
Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth.
Memorial Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 28, 2006, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth, officiated by Fr. Tom Jennings.
