ELEANOR “ORLA” VOSS, age 90, of Fairmont, formerly of Worthington, died Thursday, September 7, 2006, at the Lutz Wing Nursing Home at the Fairmont Medical Center, in Fairmont. She was born February 23, 1916, in rural Lismore, to Louis and Mary (Kemper) Lenz. She was educated at St. Anthony Catholic School, in Lismore.
Orla married Alfred Voss on February 7, 1938, at St. Anthony Church, in Lismore. After their marriage, the couple lived & farmed near Wilmont until retiring and moving to Worthington in 1973. Alfred died on October 17, 1990. Orla became a resident of the Lutz Wing Nursing Home in March of 2003.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington; the WCCW; and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She enjoyed quilting, sewing & bird watching.
Orla is survived by her four children, Jeffrey & Barbara Voss, Minneapolis; Roger & Karen Voss, Sioux Falls, SD; Glenn Voss, Sioux Falls, SD; and Kathleen & Michael Roskop, Fairmont; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; four brothers, Edward Lenz, Lismore; Fred (Rosella) Lenz, Lismore; Earl (Rita) Lenz, Lismore; and Floyd Lenz, Lincoln, NE; two sisters, Rita (Art) Altman, Lakefield; and Elvira Schmit, Heron Lake; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Art & Harvey Lenz; and a sister, Nelma Altman.
