ETHEL (SKYBERG) BRASE, age 86, of Duluth, formerly of Luverne, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at the Chris Jensen Nursing Home, in Duluth. She was born September 14, 1920, in Luverne, the youngest child of Ole and Bertha (Wold) Skyberg. Ethel attended Luverne schools and worked at Nelson Brothers Department Store; and for the Luverne schools for twenty two years.
Ethel married Leon “Bud” Brase on June 19, 1954, in Luverne. She lived in the house she was born in, for eighty years until 2001, when she moved to Duluth. Ethel lived in Duluth since that time.
She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved animals and feeding the birds & squirrels.
Ethel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & David Gangeness, Duluth; and two beloved grandchildren, Bjorn & Annika.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud, in 1998; seven brothers; and a sister.
