HOUANH SYSAVATH, age 67, of Worthington, died, Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Avera McKenan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born January 10, 1939 in Laos to parents Phonh and Sy Sysavath. He attended school in Laos.
Houanh was united in marriage to Lone Thyboualoy on March 3, 1964. He taught school and later served in the Laos Military.
In 1982, they moved to the United States living in Chicago and later moving to South Sioux City, Nebraska. In 1994, they moved to Worthington and he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Houanh is survived by his wife, Lone Sysavath, Worthington; children, Ky Sysavath, Worthington; Phay Sysavath, Worthington; Hom Kongmanychanh, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Khom Sysavath, Jackson, MN; Kham Sysavath, Worthington and Jack Sysavath, Worthington; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
