My heart aches right along with you all. Mike was my classmate (graduating in 1972), and friend. We grew up in the same neighborhood also, so I knew Mike quite well.....although, I haven't seen Mike in many years, sad to say. I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Mike's entire family. He was such a great guy. He will be missed by all who knew him. May God wrap His arms around you all, and give you comfort during this difficult time.

Dear Paula, Nick, Joe, Jeff/Julie, & family,
I am in shock and saddened to hear of the great loss of "Floyd". My trips to Worthington were always enhanced whenever we could meet up with Floyd at the Pub and share some laughs, or at Bruce and Mary's. Your loved one will always be as close as a memory, and the God of all comfort as close as a prayer. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. Keeping you all in my daily thoughts and prayers.

Mike was a great friend. Many wonderful memories of listening to records in the garage, watching reruns of Leave it To Beaver, hanging out at the park, fireworks from Sioux Falls and riding in his blue Chevy. Easy going guys with a great laugh who will be missed. Thought and Prayers... Dave Grimmius

You have our deepest sympathy. Brock really enjoyed playing baseball for him, even if was just for one summer. I remember a few years ago I saw Mike at a baseball game in Fulda. He asked how Brock was doing at college and wished him well. A good guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys.

To the Ahrens family,
I was stunned to hear of Mike''s death. In our 8 years as neighbors on Olander Street, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. He was one of those people I always enjoyed talking to. I especially appreciated his (in good fun) teasing. Mike never failed to make me laugh about something! I''m a better person for having known him, and know that the mere mention of his name will always bring a smile to my face. But it''s hard to smile today, because I am truly sad to hear this news. You are in my prayers.

To the Ahrens family: I grew up in the "neighborhood" and remember all the fun times at Pirtles Park. There were quite a few of us neighborhood kids Mike being one of them. We were all very close friends and as we grew we all went our seperate ways in life. I haven''t seen Mike for quite some time and I am very sad to hear of his passing but it sounds like he had a wonderful life and family...peace be with all of you.
