EVELYN LUCILLE TRYON, age 99, of Worthington, died Wednesday June 27, 2012, at South Shore Care Center. She was born on April 8, 1913, near Brewster in Ewington Township in Jackson County to parents, Ray and Mary E. (Fletcher) Bristow. She attended country school in Jackson County and graduated from Worthington High School.
On July 1, 1944, she was united in marriage to Everett N. Tryon at Waseca, MN. The couple made their home in Worthington. Evelyn worked for Boote’s Hatchery for 19 years and then worked for Worthington Medical Center for 24 ½ years and retired in 1975.
Evelyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Worthington and very active in the Ladies Group and Golden Eagles.
She is survived by two nephews, Lyle Bristow, and Joel Bristow
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett on June 14, 1986, two brothers, Lowell and Lyle Bristow and one sister, Esther Bristow
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. The memorial service will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington with the Pastor Gordon Orde officiating.
