CALVIN C. MORRISON, age 59, of Luverne, died Wednesday, March 15, 2016, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born July 11, 1957 in Marshalltown, IA, to Jerry and Majorie (Ellis) Morrison. He graduated from high School.

Calvin married MaryAnn Zoller on July 9, 1996. The couple lived in Luverne all of their married lives. Calvin first worked as a truck driver. In 1978, he began working at the carnival for Serie Fun Shows, which later became Family Fun Shows. Calvin began working as an Engineer for Rock County Rural Water in 2000. After retiring from the rural water, he began working at the Luverne Country Club as a groundskeeper. Calvin later retired because of health reasons.

He was a proud and active member of the Luverne Country Club; and a twenty five year member of the Luverne Eagles Club. Calvin loved to golf, watch the birds on his bird feeders and watching Saturday morning westerns. He enjoyed billiards, darts, camping, working for Rock County Rural Water and especially spending time with friends having a good cocktail. But mostly, he loved his wife and children.

Calvin is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Morrison, Luverne; son, Jeffrey Morrison, Luverne; three daughters, Kassie (fiancée, Matt) Morrison, Tea, SD; Kalee Morrison, Luverne; and Angi Morrison, Waseca, four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and four sisters, Sandy Overman, Tama, IA; Sherry Roe, Marshalltown, IA; Carla Morrison, Rhoads, IA; and Connie Morrison, Rhoads, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

   Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. A time for sharing memories will be at 8 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
