COLETTA LONNEMAN, age 95, of St. Kilian, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda. She was born to Albert and Josephine (Vaske) Johanning on October 18, 1922, in the front piano room of the family farmhouse north of St. Kilian. She attended country school until the eighth grade and later received her GED.
Coletta married Ray Lonneman on January 21, 1947 at St. Kilian Catholic Church. The couple farmed south of Wilmont. In 1954, they moved to the farm north of St. Kilian.
She was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church, St. Kilian CCW, the Catholic Daughters of America and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Coletta enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening. She also had volunteered at the Arnold Memorial Nursing Home, in Adrian. She became a resident of Crossroads Care Center, of Worthington, 2014.
Coletta is survived by her husband, Ray Lonneman, St. Kilian; four children, Dan (Manya) Lonneman, Atlanta, GA; Marcel (Elizabeth) Lonneman, Jamestown, RI; Bob Lonneman, Seattle, WA; and Jon (Rhonda) Lonneman, New Prague; daughter-in-law, Janice Lonneman, Northfield; eight grandchildren, Rae Jean (Ron) Bulthuis, Mark (Terese) Lonneman, Deb Plikuhn, Cindy Lonneman, Thomas Lonneman, Jesselyn Lonneman, Michaela (Jeff) Yancey and Logan Jamison; and six great-grandchildren, Jason, Megan, and Kelly Bulthuis; Nathan Euler; and Ava and Dylan Plikuhn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alan Lonneman in 2002; an infant son, David; two sisters, Alfrieda Johanning and Loretta Spartz; and eight brothers, Emil, Frank, Raymond, Lawrence, Cletus, Alloys, Brother Albert and Emil.
A time of fellowship will be from 2-5 pm, with Parish Prayers at 2:15 PM, Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. A Memorial Mass will be 10 am Monday at Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Wilmont, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial of Cremains will take place at a later date at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
