ELDON HAROLD BUSH, age 84, of Luverne, died Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born February 14, 1933, on the family homestead in Kanaranzi Township, to Louie and Caroline (Krueger) Bush. He attended country school.

   Eldon married Wilda Hass on February 24, 1952, in Ellsworth. After their marriage, the couple lived in Luverne. In 1964, they moved to the acreage northwest of Luverne. Eldon had worked for Schoon Motors. In 1956, he began Ken & Bush 66 Station, in Luverne, with his partner Kenny Swenson. In 1964, he became sole owner and began Bush’s 66. Eldon sold the business in 2003. He retired in 2010.

   He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne. He enjoyed raising horses, fishing, dancing and country music. He even played in a band, Family Affair, with his family.

   Eldon is survived by his two sons, David (Kathie) Bush, Albertville; and Dale (Lisa) Bush, Menomonie, WI; seven grandchildren, Heather (Jason) Kroon, Steen; Heidi (James) Mehlaff, Luverne; Emmy (Drue) Glaze, Little Falls; Hilary (Steve) Mayne, Apple Valley; Annie (Mike) Moldstad, Mankato; Halayna Bush, Menomonie, WI; and Bryan (special friend, Katie) Enstad, Rice Lake; five great grandchildren, Zachery, Kellsie, Riley, Noah & Regan; five great great grandchildren, Aniyah, Aurora, Ajayda, Jayce & Kodac; sister, Fern Geerdes, Sheldon, IA; and many nieces & nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilda on November 19, 2014; son, Steve Bush on June 28, 2013; two brothers, Louie & LeRoy Bush; and five sisters, Louise Geerdes, Viola Geerdes, Luella Willemssen, Marian Hickman and Ethel DeGroot.

   A memorial service for family & friends will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the GrandStay Hotel, in Luverne, from 1-3 pm.
