Dear Elaine and Cousins,
Thank you for sending me word about your mother's passing. I am sending you my deepest sympathy and condolences on your loss. Your mother always sent me a card and letter at Christmas time, and often she talked about Raphael's diary keeping, since she knew I was very interested in diaries. When I go to Remsen IA to visit my mom in the next weeks, I will share this news with her.

I am sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful lady. She was my teacher for 5th grade and that was a good year! Paul was in my class. Since my dad grew up in Lismore, they knew each other. Good people from that small common. I still remember the day of my mother's funeral when Mrs. Klein reached out to my with her sympathy-that meant a lot to me that day. My sympathy to your whole family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May you find comfort in the Bible promises of a resurrection. Isaiah 25:8 tells us: He will swallow up death forever, and the sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, you residents in the dust! For you dew is as the dew of the morning and the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.” My deepest sympathies to the family!
