Francis George Nau

FRANCIS GEORGE NAU, age 70, of Brewster, died Monday, September 16, 2019, at his home. He was born December 3, 1948, in Worthington, to John and Jeneva (Marsh) Nau. He attended school in Brewster.

As a young man, Francis worked for area farmers. In 1977, he began working at the Veterinarian Medical Center in Worthington. He loved working there for over forty years.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster; and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, working at the Veterinarian Medical Center and especially his family.

Francis is survived by his six siblings, Joyce Mormann, Adrian; Phillip (Jan) Nau, Ocheyedan, IA; Leonard (Sue) Nau, Worthington; Loretta (Ed) Smith, Brewster; Douglas (Lori) Nau, Worthington; and Steve (Mark) Nau, Minneapolis; brother-in-law, Mark Ruehle, Jesup, IA; and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leo Nau; two sisters, Linda Ruehle and Kathy (Lynn) Davis; a brother-in-law, Joe Mormann; a niece, Tammy Nau; and a nephew, Russell Nau.

   A time of fellowship will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, with Parish Prayers at 7 pm, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral Mass will be 11 am Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Brewster, officiated by Fr. Pratap Salibindla. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Brewster.
