FRENCHIE COLLINS REASONOVER, age 77, of Wilmont, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. He was born November 22, 1941, in Kemp, TX, to Ossie and Dorothy (Collins) Reasonover. When he was eight years old, Frenchie moved with his parents to California. He graduated from high school in Anaheim, CA.
Frenchie married Linda Sankey on June 1, 1973, in Long Beach, CA. In 1977, they moved to Wilmont. Frenchie worked for Watland International and later he and Linda had a craft business called Frenchie’s Wild West.
He was a former member of the Wilmont Presbyterian Church where he had served as custodian. After the church closed he joined the First Covenant Church in Worthington. He enjoyed gardening and collecting cowboy memorabilia.
Frenchie is survived by his wife, Linda Reasonover, Wilmont; two children, Tracy (Vickie) Reasonover, Parker, SD; and Karrie (Doug) Scholtes, Wilmont; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Reasonover, Santa Clara, CA; eleven grandchildren, Terese (Shane) Walz, Dallas (Jennie) Reasonover, Bryce (Renae) Reasonover, Keenan Van Aalst, De Borah (Ryan) Kimball, LeoNilda Reasonover, Cole Reasonover, Jessica Aguilar, Ethan Hyvari, Kadence Hyvari and Brayden Scholtes; nine great-grandchildren, Zach, Ethan, Quenton, Ayden, Jersey, Preston, Antonio, Damian and Tempy; and a sister, Molly Wynants, Henderson, NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, James Scott Reasonover in 2016.
A time of fellowship will be from 4-7 pm Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorial service will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at the First Covenant Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor John Steward. A private family committal of cremains will be at a later date.
