LYDIA KEMPER, age 88, of Sibley, IA, died Sunday, January 5, 2020, at the Country Manor in Sibley, IA. She was born August 10, 1931, in Benson, AZ, to Antonio and Angelita (Valdez) Moreno.
Lydia married Dale Kemper on June 12, 1982, in Tucson, AZ. The couple lived in Tucson, AZ for thirteen years before moving to Sibley, IA. Lydia worked as a housekeeper.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. She enjoyed nature, bird watching, cooking and needlepoint.
Lydia is survived by her husband, Dale Kemper, Sibley, IA; two step daughters, Barbara Kemper, Worthington; and Annette (Antonio) Perez-Kemper, Worthington; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Ben Moreno, Tucson, AZ; a sister, Erma Figueroa, Tucson, AZ; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and many siblings.
Burial of cremains will be 3 pm Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Lismore. A time of fellowship will be from 5-7 pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington.
