Tracy Eugene Cummings

   TRACY EUGENE CUMMINGS, age 55, of Worthington, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Sanford USD Medical Center, in Sioux Falls, SD, as a result of an automobile accident north of Adrian. He was born July 14, 1962, in Emporia, KS, to Joseph and Dorothy (Schroer) Cummings. As a young boy, Tracy and his family moved to Worthington. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1981; and later from Jackson Vo-Tech in Auto Mechanics. He served his country in the Minnesota National Guard.

   Tracy married Rhonda Schmit in 1987. The couple lived in Marshall where Tracy owned Exhaust Pros. The couple later divorced.

   Tracy moved to Worthington in 2004. He worked various jobs including welding and truck driving. He later owned and operated Tracy Cummings Trucking.

   He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting and especially riding his motorcycle.

   Tracy is survived by his two children, Evan (Jen) Cummings, Adrian; and Erin Cummings, Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren, Madelyn Cummings and Wesley Swanson; mother, Dorothy Cummings, Worthington; fiancée, Lori Spaethe, Harris, IA, and her granddaughter, Skye; five siblings, Tom (Dana) Cummings, Ft. Worth, TX; Ernie Cummings, Madison, KS; Chris (Michelle) Cummings, Worthington; Jamie (Bob) Kappes, Kirkhoven; and Marie (fiancée, Craig) Hanson, Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces & nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his father, Joseph Cummings.

   Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Funeral will be Friday at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Deacon Vern Behrends. Burial will be at the St. Mary Cemetery at a later date.
