William Rowe

WILLIAM THOMAS ROWE, age 71, of Reading, died Monday, December 3, 2018, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center. He was born June 1, 1947, in Bertha, to James and Helma (Bristlen) Rowe. He graduated from Hewitt High School.

Bill married Carol Feltman on April 26, 1991, in Windom. The couple lived in Heron Lake before moving to the farm northeast of Reading. Bill worked various jobs including driving truck. He worked at Worthington Ag for over twenty five years.

He was an active member and President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, in Worthington, Aerie #3282 serving as Worthy Past President for the district. He enjoyed music, camping, fishing, riding horses, cooking, playing guitar, football (Packers), his grandchildren and PBR.

Bill is survived by his wife, Carol Rowe, Reading; five children, Shellie (John Radcliffe) Houston, Spirit Lake, IA; Justin (Amy) Rowe, Heron Lake; Brad (Erika) Bruns, Pierre, SD; Lyn (Rick) Hennings, Brewster; and Stacie (Chad) Cauwels, Round Lake; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Bill is survived by his many siblings as he came from a family of twenty four.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother; twin brother, Jerry Rowe; two brothers; and two sisters.

   A memorial service will be 10:30 am Tuesday, with a time of fellowship one hour prior, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A reception will follow at the Worthington Eagles Club. A private family committal of cremains will be at a later date.
