Yvonne "Vonnie" (Preuss) Hector

   YVONNE “VONNIE HECTOR, age 83, was called to her heavenly home on September 1, 2019.  She was born on February 3, 1936 the youngest of three children of Jack and Emma Preuss.  She graduated from Worthington High School in 1953.

   Vonnie married Donald Hector on October 11, 1953 at St Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN.  After their marriage they moved to Edenburgh, PA and then to Columbus, OH before returning to Worthington, MN.  She was a homemaker for many years raising her children before entering the workforce.  She worked at SuperValue Grocery Store and then later at the Worthington Liquor Store before her retirement.  Vonnie was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Worthington.  She enjoyed cross word puzzles and counted cross stitch but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

   Vonnie is survived by her four children, Cindy Hector, Worthington; Cheryl (Burdell) Boltjes, Worthington; Dan (Casey) Hector, Wilmont: and Scott Hector, Eagan; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Adeline Washinowski, Dakota Dunes, SD; and Ilona Benson, Worthington. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty five years, Donald; and her son, Gregory.

   Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Thursday at the American Lutheran Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Sandy Carpenter. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
