ADELINE ANDERSON, age 92, of Worthington, formerly of Foley, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Sanford Regional Hospital in Worthington. She was born June 10, 1917, in Maywood Township, rural Foley, to Albert and Johanna Augusta (Bjurstrom) Selander. She graduated from Foley High School in 1935. Adeline married Glenn Anderson on October 23, 1936, in Foley. After their marriage, the couple lived in Foley. Adeline worked at the Parent Veterinarian Clinic and as a receptionist at the Foley Medical Center both in Foley. Glenn died on February 11, 1986. Adeline moved to Worthington in May of 1998 to be near her family. In April of 2000, she became a resident of Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Foley. Adeline was a caregiver. She cared for her parents, husband & her friend, Polly. She enjoyed volunteering at the Foley Nursing home. Adeline is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Rev. Ken) Honius, Worthington; and Marlis Anderson, Worthington; three grandchildren, Kirk (Michelle) Honius, Worthington; Karmel (Brad) Holinka, Fulda; and Kevin Honius, Watertown, WI; and eight great grandchildren, Kara, Kody, Karter, Konner, Mari, Michale, Myah & Lauren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; two brothers; three sisters & her son-in-law, Homer Anderson.
