Obituary

AGNES CHARLOTTE HANSBERGER-WINZER, age 87, of Worthington, died Monday, August 28, 2006, at the Southshore Care Center, in Worthington. She was born October 23, 1918, in Elmore, MN, to Christian T. and Anna (Barnes) Hovland. Agnes attended school in Bricelyn and the University of Minnesota Ag School, where she holds the record for the high jump. Agnes married Dale Hansberger on June 2, 1940, in Bricelyn. After their marriage, the couple farmed east of Worthington. Dale died on August 21, 1987. Agnes married Charles Winzer on December 7, 1991, in Jackson, MN. After their marriage, the couple lived east of Worthington. Charles died in April, 2001. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, in Worthington; the Ladies Aid; the Friendship Class; Sons of Norway; and the Lorain Neighbors Project Club. Agnes enjoyed wintering in Arizona since 1982. She twice traveled to Norway to visit her father?s homeland and relatives. She also enjoyed spending time with her family on their many vacations. Agnes is survived by her three children and their spouses, Delores & Hilman Ratsch, Corvallis, OR; Paul & Beverly Hansberger, Worthington; and Julie & Bill Robertson, Estes Park, CO; ten grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Brady, Jodi, Heidi, Erin, Jon, Hannah, Zach & Leah; seven great grandchildren; brother, Howard (Eunice) Hovland, Baltic, SD; sister-in-law, Esther Hovland, Blue Earth; and brother-in-law, Henry Blohm, Kiester. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; brothers and sisters-in-law, Telford (Esther), Ben (Lois), Laurence & Harold (Lucille) Hovland and a sister, Doris Blohm.
