Obituary

ALBERT T. CONGER, age 80, of Beaver Creek, died Saturday, December 05, 2009, at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born March 27, 1929, in Lead, SD, to Troy ?Bunn? and Elizabeth ?Betty? (McGinnis) Conger. He attended school at East Deep Creek and High School in Faith, SD. Albert moved with his family to the Black Hills and worked at the Home Stake Mine, in Lead, SD, before entering the service. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Albert worked at the Crazy Horse Monument and owned & operated a post yard in Custer, SD. He lived in various cities in South Dakota before moving to Beaver Creek in 1970. He was a truck driver and enjoyed billiards. Albert is survived by his three children, Lisa Bennetts, Idaho Springs, CO; Joe Conger, Beaver Creek; and Jake Conger, Beaver Creek; grandson, Ian Tobias; granddaughter, Kaitlin Conger; and five sisters, Lavonne (Charles) Clark, New Castle, WY; Ardeth Hunt, Sturgis, SD; Jackie (Bob) Dale, Sturgis, SD; Ginger (Les) Koster, Piedmont, SD; and Angela (John) Ross, Sturgis, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two infant twin sisters.
