ALICE BRITZ, age 97, of Luverne, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center.  She was born July 9, 1916, in rural Rock County, and was raised there until moving to Alma Lund, where she met & married her husband, Reuben Britz.
The couple moved to Luverne in 1948, and that is where they spent the remainder of their lives.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. Alice enjoyed raising flowers, playing cards, dancing, working crossword puzzles, bowling & golf.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Jerilyn Britz, Luverne; son, Jerome (Dorothy) Britz, Lakeville; two grandsons; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Revs. Ron Nichols & Robert Knutson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
