ALICE FRIEDA WILKEN, age 89, of Worthington, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Sanford Worthington Regional Hospital. She was born October 16, 1919 in Graham Lake Township to parents, Will and Grace (Manning) Kunze. She attended country school and later attended public school in Sioux Valley. Alice was united in marriage to John Wilken on September 18, 1938 in Round Lake. The couple made their home in Round Lake. In 1958, they moved to Worthington. Alice was employed at the Campbell?s Soup Company, in Worthington. She was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Worthington. Alice is survived by her three children and their spouses, James J. & Amelia Wilken, Sioux City, IA; John C. & Phyllis Wilken, St. Cloud, MN; and Dale Wilken, Worthington; five grandchildren; Chris (Joanne) Wilken, Chicago, IL; Jeff (Jodi) Wilken, Sartell; Jason (Becki) Wilken, Clearwater; Dennis Wilken, Sioux Falls, SD; and Dawn (Rob) Cope, Luverne; nine great grandchildren, one brother, Willie (Bernadine) Kunze, Worthington; three sisters, Helen Grimmius, Worthington; Lorraine (Art) Schaap, Worthington; and Leatha Kunze, Worthington; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Kunze, Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John, on June 10, 1998; two brothers, Louie & John Kunze; and three sisters, Dora Buchman, Mary Kunze & Lily Kasch.
