AMY ROSALIA LURSEN, age 58, of Adrian, died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home. She was born June 17, 1965, in Adrian, to Raymond and Alvina (Schwebach) Berning. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1983.

Amy married Kevin Lursen on June 2, 1984, at St. Adrian Catholic Church in Adrian. The couple lived in Adrian. Amy worked at various jobs including Home Health Care, Casey's Gas Station and the Home Café in Adrian. But for the past fourteen years, she has put in full time caring and raising her grandkids. She enjoyed horses, cats, caring for her chickens, camping, being with family and spending time with her grandkids. She spent most of her days talking or playing with her grandkids as she would do anything for them.

Amy is survived by her husband, Kevin Lursen, Adrian; four children, Stephaine (Jake) Leighty, Round Lake; Tyler (Tiffany) Lursen, Adrian; Heather (Ethan) Heideman, Adrian; and Heidi (Josh) Baker, Renville; six grandchildren, Karsen & Paytin Leighty; Rylee Lursen; Kentin Heideman; and Allison & Loretta Baker; and four siblings, Vernon Berning, Des Moines, IA; Burdell "Bud" Berning, Adrian; Melvin Berning, Adrian; and Carol (Denny) Dilly, Lake Mills, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.

Dingmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Adrian, is assisting the family with arrangements.
