Angeline Van Essen was bom May 10, 1907 in Salem, South Dakota to Asje and Gertrude Van Dyke. On January 12, 1928 she married Corrie Van Essen in Leota, MN. They farmed in the Leota area for 37 years. They moved to Edgerton, and later to Leota Angeline went to live in the Mary Jane Brown Home, Luverne on September 15, 1995. On January 30, 1996 she went to live in the Edgebrook Care Center, Edgerton. She passed away March 16, 2007 at the age of 99 years, ten months, and six days. She was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church in Leota. She will be remembered by her children Harvey & Elsie Van Essen, Seal Beach, CA; Gladys & Alvin Blom, Luverne, MN; Jean & Bill Mouw, Lynden, WA; Lloyd & Sharon Van Essen, Sioux Center, IA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; one brother Bill Van Dyke; three sisters Alice, Margaret, and Trudy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, three sisters, and three grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Bethel Reformed Church in Leota. The service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday at the Bethel Reformed Church in Leota with the Rev. David Vander Leest officiating. Burial will be in the Leota Community Cemetery. Dingmann Funeral Home of Adrian and the Leota Burial Association are in charge of arrangments.
