IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna Louise
Noll
April 3, 1924 – October 29, 2022
ANNA LOUISE NOLL, age 98, of Luverne, died Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Home in Luverne. She was born on April 3, 1924, in Santa Ana California, to Alex and Anna (Brommer) Drenth. The California dream did not manifest, and the family returned to Ellsworth, MN a few years later. Her family lived and farmed near Ellsworth throughout her childhood. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1943.
While working in Sioux Falls, Anna Louise met her future husband, Vernon Noll, and they married on November 28, 1949, at Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth. They made their home on a farm in the Blue Mounds very near the quarry. She was a farm wife and she enjoyed the farm life. She always had a garden and an abundance of potatoes and carrots to share with the neighbors. Anna Louise tended to many farm duties throughout the 27 years on the farm. She raised three girls during the 50's and 60's who all have fond memories of growing up on a farm in the Blue Mounds. After leaving the farm in 1976, she and Vernon moved to Luverne, but missed country life and moved to an acreage near the Mounds until 1991. They retired back to Luverne where Anna Louise resided until 2013 when Vernon passed away after 64 years of marriage. She moved to Poplar Creek in 2013 and became a resident at MJB in April 2019 where she passed away.
Anna Louise is remembered by her three daughters, Marge Noll, Elko, MN; Lynette (Jesse) Medellin, Upland, CA; and Elaine (David) Kvaas, St Cloud, MN; three grandchildren, Andrea (Mark) Kiffmeyer, Amber (Josh) Pogatshnik, and Haley Kvaas (Mark Linn); six great grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Aidan Kiffmeyer, Eleanor and Asher Pogatshnik, and Teddy Linn. She always remembered daughter Lynette's step children and grandchildren in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and her husband, Vernon.
Visitation will be from 10-11am Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Val Putnam. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
