ANNETTE KAY ELGERSMA, age 58, of Sanborn, IA, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born March 14, 1961, in Hot Springs, SD, to Allan and Nancy (Welch) Eisenbraun. Annette married Tom Elgersma on March 15, 1996. Their love story was a special one, and they later welcomed their only child, Amanda, into the world in May of 1997. Annette had different jobs throughout her life including working at a hospital, agency, dental office, and assisting at the local public school – which was one of her favorite things due to her love for children. When her daughter Amanda was in school, Annette treated all of Amanda's friends like they were her own and welcomed everyone. She had many hobbies and interests including scrapbooking, collecting rabbits and roosters, decorating for every holiday, camping, shopping, and most of all spending time with her dearest friends and family. Annette is survived by her husband, Tom Elgersma, Sanborn, IA; daughter, Amanda (fiancée, Dylan) Elgersma, Cherokee, IA; and her dog, Buckwheat. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Tim Eisenbraun. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Dingmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Worthington, is assisting the family with arrangements.
