ANTHONY ?TONY? DISPANET, age 61, of Luverne, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at his home in Luverne, after a courageous six year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born June 15, 1945, in Luverne, to A.C. and C.F. (Pastoors) Dispanet. Tony served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Expert Rifle Badge & the Purple Heart. Tony married Barbara Ralls on April 26, 1969, in Minneapolis. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne; the Knights of Columbus; the Luverne VFW; and the Cooties. Tony is survived by his wife, Barbara Dispanet, Luverne; son, Anthony (Shannon Oreel) Dispanet, Madison, WI; three grandchildren, Amos, Thelonious & Marijke; two brothers, James (JoAnne) Dispanet, San Antonio, TX; and Timothy (Susan) Dispanet, Luverne; mother-in-law, Gerda Ralls, St. Louis Park; three brothers-in-law, John Peterson, St. Paul; John (Lisa) Ralls, Forest City, IA; and David Ralls, Bloomington; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Peterson. Memorials are preferred by the family to Multiple Myeloma Research. Blessed Be His Memory.
