ANTONIO MARTINEZ-CHAVEZ, age 53, of Worthington, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Sanford Regional Hospital in Worthington. He was born May 13, 1957, in Purepero, Mich, Mexico, to Antonio and Etelvina (Chavez) Martinez-Espinosa. He attended school at the Ignasio Ramirez School in Mexico. Antonio married Maria Gutierrez on September 17, 1993, in Mexico. After their marriage, the couple moved to Gardena, CA. In 1996, they moved to Worthington where Antonio worked at JBS. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. He enjoyed soccer, and fishing. Antonio is survived by his wife, Maria Martinez, Worthington; two children, Fabiola Martinez, Worthington; and Antonio Martinez Jr., Worthington; father, Antonio; five brothers, Ramiro (Maria) Martinez, Worthington; Francisco (Gloria) Martinez, Worthington; Javier (Maria) Martinez, Worthington; Jose Luis (Griselda) Martinez, San Francisco, CA; and Luciano (Guillermina) Martinez, Inglewood, CA; four sisters, Maria De Luz (Mario) Garcia, Worthington; Margarita (Francisco) Godinez, Gardena, CA; Ana Maria (Jose) Lagos, Worthington; and Teresa (Edu) Villamar, Norwalk, CA. He was preceded in death by his mother.
