ARNOLD G. CLARK, JR., age 93 of rural Rushmore, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Adrian Care Center. He was born on November 12, 1921 in rural Worthington to parents, Arnold G. Sr. and Minnie (Albers) Clark. Arnie attended country school in rural Worthington. After his schooling, Arnie helped on the farm and worked at Booties Hatchery in Worthington.
On January 16, 1944 he was united in marriage to Violet Henrichs south of Ruthmore. After their marriage the couple farmed near Brewster and rural Worthington. In 1950 they bought a farm southeast of Rushmore. Arnie and Violet also raised a variety of livestock. The couple lived on the farm until Arnie moved into the Adrian Care Center in 2013.
He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington. Arnie loved the farm and did not like to travel to far from home. In his spare time, Arnie enjoyed dancing, especially Polka. He and Violet attended many Polkafests and they also enjoyed square dancing. Arnie was a very dedicated husband and father and spent a lot of time with his children teaching them about life on the farm. He also had a great relationship with his grandchildren and they loved to spending time with their grandparents at the farm. Arnie was a very generous person and was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors and friends.
Arnie is survived by his wife of 71 years, Violet Clark, Worthington, MN; two children, Donald (Linda) Bloomington, MN; Marlow (Claudette) Clark, Arcadia, IL; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason (Maria), and Carly Clark and one brother, Joseph (Darlene) Clark, Worthington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Earl and sisters, Elsie Doeden, Shirley Small and Ruth Biegler.
