AUDREY HELEN WENDLING, age 84, of Worthington, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1927, in Granville, IA to parents Alvis and Grace T. (Schwarz) Oberman.  She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Granville and graduated from Alton High School in Alton, IA.
On December 21, 1945, she was united in marriage to Charles Wendling. They made their home in Worthington.  Audrey held various jobs in Worthington.  She and her husband owned and operated Chuck's Tavern and the Beltline Tavern in Worthington.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elk's Lodge, American Legion and VFW in Worthington. Audrey enjoyed reading, sewing, playing Bingo and visiting.  She also enjoyed shopping and dining out with friends and family.
Audrey is survived by four children, Pam (Leon) Cuperus, Miltona, MN; Dr. Randall (Carol) Wendling, Rock Springs, WY; Bruce (Julie) Wendling, Beresford, SD; Jeff Wendling, Worthington, MN; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, daughter Chari and three sisters.
