AUDREY MAE TIMMERMAN, age 88, of Luverne, died Thursday, September 15, 2016, at the Lyon Specialty Care in Rock Rapids, IA. She was born December 7, 1927, in Rock Rapids, IA, to Frank and Bernice (Brown) Peterson. She was confirmed & baptized at St. John Lutheran Church, in Luverne, on December 28, 1958.

Audrey married William "Bill Timmerman on January 30, 1949, in Rock Rapids, IA. The couple lived in Rock Rapids for a short time before moving to Luverne. Audrey worked at J.C. Penny's in Luverne for over twenty nine years. She also worked at Tony's; and cleaned apartments in Luverne.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Luverne. She enjoyed baking, flower gardening, sewing, knitting & crocheting. She made several afghans.

Audrey is survived by her brother, Marvin (Mary) Peterson, Rock Rapids, IA; sister, Mary (John) Anderson, Rock Rapids, IA; many nieces & nephews; and many great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill in 1993; two brothers, Alvin & Lee Peterson; and two sisters, Inez Korthals & Alice Buss.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne; and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Pastor Gary Klatt. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Luverne.
