BEE LAUDON, age 88, of Luverne, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Luverne Hospice Cottage. She was born August 18, 1919 in Cathy, North Dakota to parents James Irwin and Marie (Berdahl) Williams. She graduated from Cathy High School in Cathy, ND. After her schooling she worked in Carrington, ND in retail sales. Bee was united in marriage to Curtis M. Laudon on September 1, 1940 at her parents home in Cathy, ND. He entered the service in 1942 and Bee followed him to the east coast while he was attending officers training. After the war they returned to Minnesota and worked in Slayton prior to moving to Luverne in 1946. They purchased the old Connell Drug Store and owned and operated that store calling it Laudon Drug and Gift Store until 1971. They sold their store to son Curt and they continued living in Luverne. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Luverne and also the Eastern Star. She enjoyed watching all sports especially tennis. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bee is survived by her children Curt (Jean) Laudon, Luverne; Steve Laudon, Columbus, OH and Alison McArthur, Columbus, OH; four grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Laudon & Danielle (B.T.) Carmichael, Marna (Ryan) Fitzpatrick & Ani Laudon; four great grandchildren, Madison, Ellie, Jack and Maclan; two step grandchildren Lisa & Sonya; three step great grandchildren, Emerson, Cooper and Eastyn; sister, Beatrice Stocking, Jamestown, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
