BESSIE M. JACOBSON, age 73, of Luverne, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at the Sanford Luverne Hospital. She was born November 27, 1935, in Omro, WS, to Jenor and Ardis (Searle) Konow. She grew up and attended school in the Winneconne, WS area. She graduated from the Winneconne High School in 1953 and later attended business school in Fennemore, WS. Bessie was united in marriage to David Jacobson on January 15, 1955 in KauKauna, WS. After their marriage, they made their home in the Platteville, WS area where Bessie worked in the business accounting department at the Control Data Company. They moved to Waconia, MN. after they retired and Bessie moved to Luverne after David died in 2008. She was a very active volunteer in Luverne the short time she was here. She attended services at Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne. She enjoyed her volunteer work and spending time with her grandchildren, especially all the sporting events. She also enjoyed flowers, shopping and traveling. Bessie is survived by three children and their spouses, Ron (Pat) Jacobson, Madison, WS; Susan (Steve) Hellenbrand, Barneveld, WS; Lisa (Don) Dinger, Luverne; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Austin) Block; Ashley and Tyler Hellenbrand; Eric (Stephanie) Dinger, Alison, Brent and Brady Dinger; great-grandchild, Madilyn Dinger; two sisters, Rose Ann Smith, Fern Benedict, a brother, Junior Konow. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband David, and a brother Harvey. A private family service will be held at a later date.
