BEVERLY "BEV" L. HARALDSON, age 73, of Luverne, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage. She was born September 2, 1940, in Luverne, to William and Elva (Overgaard) Bell. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1958.
Bev married Gordon Haraldson on May 3, 1958, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Luverne. The couple made their home in Luverne. Bev had worked at the Luverne Hospital; Schutz Hardware in Luverne; and Luverne Paint & Glass. She later became a homemaker to take care of her children.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Luverne. Bev enjoyed her bridge clubs, baking, cooking, gardening, sewing, playing pinochle with relatives and refinishing woodwork. She also enjoyed wintering in Texas.
Bev is survived by her five children, Diane Krogman, Rockwall, TX; Greg (Sharon) Haraldson, Amarillo, TX; Bruce Haraldson, Sioux Falls, SD; Brad Haraldson, Sioux Falls, SD; and Darla (William) Clontz, Advance, NC; six grandchildren, Jeremy Krogman, Austin Krogman, Melissa Boltjes, Riley Haraldson, Tori Clontz and Trey Clontz; a great grandchild, Aliyah; brother, Roger (Dianne) Bell, Marshall; and a sister, Barb (Glenn) Page, Omaha, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Elva Bell; husband, Gordon on May 13, 2003; and a step father, Paul Campbell.
A memorial service will be 5:30 pm on Saturday, with a time of fellowship one hour prior, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Luverne officiated by Pastor Andrew Palmquist. Burial of cremains will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
