BEVERLY JANE KEMPEMA, age 94, of Worthington, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Sibley Specialty Care Home in Sibley, IA. She was born April 22, 1931, in Worthington, to Linder and Irene (Nystrom) Wickstrom. She attended country school near Worthington before graduation from Worthington High School.

Beverly married Raymond Kempema on March 8, 1951, in Worthington. The couple lived in Worthington where they farmed.

She was a member of the Worthington Christian Reformed Church and farmed with her husband. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, canning and gardening.

Beverly is survived by her three children, Bruce (Donna) Kempema, Worthington; Brian Kempema, Worthington; and Roxanne (Roger) Pfarr, Lamberton; eight grandchildren, Megan (Brent) Gray, Adam (Jill) Vahl, Greg (Nicole) Kempema, Chad (Krista) Kempema, Lindsey (Ryan) Como, Brianna (Jared) Kempema-Nelson, Josh (Kaycee) Pfarr and Joe (Mindy) Pfarr; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Delbert Wickstrom, Worthington; sister-in-law, Clarice, Worthington; and a son-in-law, Duane (Gail) Vahl, Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond on May 8, 2018; daughter, Cheryl Vahl; and two brothers, Doug and Maynard Wickstrom.

A private family memorial service will take place at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, at a later date.
