BLANCHE IDA KANNE, age 91, of Adrian, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Adrian Care Center, Adrian, MN. She was born March 23, 1923 on the family farm outside of Odessa, MN; to parents Emil and Ida (Schmikle) Steffen. As a young girl Blanche attended country school. Following her schooling she worked at the Ortonville Hospital as a nurses aid where she met her husband Elmond.
Blanche was united in marriage to Elmond Edward Kanne on April 9, 1950 at the First United Methodist Church in Ortonville. Together they farmed and raised their set of twins.   She loved being a homemaker. Blanche enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, freezing, flowers, sewing and cleaning.
She is survived by her twin children, Charlene (Richard) Froderman, Adrian, MN; and Rusty (Lynette) Kanne, Elk Point, SD; four grandchildren, Chad (Jen) Froderman, Rebecca (Jay) Lee, Debbie (Troy)  Kobes  and Ryan Froderman all of Sioux Falls, SD; one great granddaughter, Brittnee Kobes; brother Sylvan Steffan, Mission, TX; a sister, Alice Hopkins, Portland, OR and several nieces and nephews.
Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Freda Jarvis  two brothers, Clarence and Howard Steffen and a nephew Norward Steffen.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington.
The Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11 AM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington with Rev. Dr. Daren Flinck officiating. Burial will be at Worthington Cemetery.
