BRUCE DAVID MARTIN, age 70, of Bigelow, died Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home. He was born May 18, 1954, in Worthington, to David and Ethel (Berg) Martin. He graduated from Worthington High School; and later from Canby Vo-Tech and completed three years, and the University of North Dakota, Fargo.
Bruce married Roberta Lynn Ling on June 16, 1979, at the Bigelow Methodist Church. The couple lived in various cities before moving to a farm outside of Bigelow in 1996.
He was a member of the Living Waters Covenant Church in Worthington. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting & fishing.
Bruce is survived by his son, Thomas Martin, Bigelow; three sisters, Betty Bruchal, Apple Valley; Kathryn (Frank) Hutchinson, Sioux Falls, SD; and Brenda (Larry Granstra) Martin-Granstra, Georgetown, TX; mother-in-law Cleo Ling, Bigelow, Minnesota; Three brothers-in-law, Brian (Michelle) Ling, Bigelow, MN; Brad Ling, Bigelow, MN; and Bruce Ling, Brandon, Florida; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roberta in 2013; and a brother-in-law, Leslie Bruchal.
A memorial service will be 2 pm Saturday, May 3 at the Living Waters Covenant Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor John Stewart. A time of fellowship will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. A private family committal of cremains will be at a later date.
Dingmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Worthington, is assisting the family with arrangements.
