BRUCE DALE VASTENHOUT, age 60, of Luverne, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at his home. He was born October 5, 1952, in Bremerton, WA, to Wilbur and Katherine (Krootje) Vastenhout. He graduated from Edgerton High School; and later from Jackson Area Vocational School.
Bruce married Jeannine Clark on April 13, 2002, in Luverne. The couple lived in Luverne. Bruce had worked at John Deere, the Rock County Highway Department and as a truck driver. He also had worked at Golden Plump in Luverne.
He enjoyed swimming and working on cars.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Jeannine Vastenhout, Luverne; two brothers, Craig (Delores) Vastenhout, Kenneth; and Royce (Jenna) Vastenhout, Del Rapids, SD; and many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Theresa Vastenhout, in 1992.
Funeral will be 10:30 am Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Fr. Thomas Jennings. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Luverne.
