CARL C. KLUEVER Jr., age 65, of Worthington, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born November 12, 1948, in Worthington, to Carl and Tillie (Christians) Kluever. He grew up and attended school in Worthington
He was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and served his country during the Vietnam War.  He was stationed in Germany for most of his tour.  After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he moved back to Worthington.  Carl worked in construction jobs most of his life; he did carpentry, masonry, and road construction.
Carl enjoyed karaoke, fishing, animals, camping at Round Lake, and basically anything to do with the outdoors.  He was a good friend to many people and had a great friendship with Darrel Warborg, who is also a good friend to the entire Kluever family.
He was a member of the American Legion in Round Lake.
Carl is survived by his son, Shawn (Kelly) Kluever, Worthington; two grandchildren, Megan and Logan Kluever, Worthington; mother, Tillie Kluever, Worthington; nine brothers and sisters, Karen (John) Fischer, Springfield, MO; Sonja Engstrom, Worthington; Karla Strothkamp, Council Bluffs, IA; Julie Hohensee, Worthington; Steven (Sheila) Kluever, Worthington; John (Linda Verslius) Kluever, Spencer, IA; Kevin (Virginia) Kluever, Worthington; Roger (Linda) Kluever, Worthington; Rick (Lou) Kluever, Spencer, IA; brother-in-law, Doyle Harms, Worthington; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Rita Harms and brother-in-law, Norman Hohensee.
A time of fellowship will be from 1-2pm Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, Worthington. . A memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Daren Flinck.   A private family service will be held at the cemetery prior to the service.   Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, is assisting the family with arrangements.
