CAROL REHBORG, age 77, of Fulda, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Sibley Specialty Care Home in Sibley, IA. She was born April 3, 1947, in Hartley, IA, to Albert and Cornelia (Pruissen) Schiphoff. She graduated from Melvin High School. After she graduated, Carol moved to Washington DC where she began working for the Veterans Administration. She later moved to Houston, TX where she also worked for the VA.

Carol married Norm Rehborg on May 11, 1973, at the Melvin First Reformed Church. The couple farmed in rural Ocheyedan, IA. In 1979, they moved to a farm by Fulda.

She was a member of the Immanuel American Lutheran Church in rural Fulda. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, reading, taking rides in the countryside and especially spending time with her grandchildren and grandpups.

Carol is survived by her husband, Norm Rehborg, Fulda; three daughters, Robyn (Gerold) Van Heuvelen, Woodstock; Rhonda (Neil) Cuperus, Reading; and Rita (Raylond) Smith, Elk River; two grandchildren, Shandra & Taylon Cuperus; and two brothers, Joe Schiphoff, Melvin, IA; and Gary (Luie) Schiphoff, Sanborn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister-in-law, Lorna Schiphoff.

A time of fellowship will be 4-7 pm Sunday, October 20 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorial service will be 11 am Monday at the Immanuel American Lutheran Church, in rural Fulda, officiated by Pastor Lance Isaacson. Burial will be 2 pm Monday at the Baker Township Cemetery in Melvin, IA.
