CARYL NORELIUS, age 91, of Weslaco, Texas, formerly of Luverne, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. She was born on Oct. 4, 1915, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She married Charles E. Norelius on Nov. 25, 1937, in Luverne. She was a homemaker. After her husband retired from Tri-State Insurance Company in 1966 they bought a farm northeast of Luverne and farmed for a number of years before moving to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. They enjoyed many years of traveling abroad and touring North America in their motor home. Mrs. Norelius was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne, Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and served on the Rock County Welfare Board. She was a volunteer at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in Texas and enjoyed playing bridge and Mah Jongg. Survivors include one son, Richard (Janice) Norelius, Thornton, Colorado and one daughter, Susan Humphrey, Alamo, Texas. Mrs. Norelius was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, and one sister. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
