CHAN DEAN BRIGGS, age 46, of Worthington, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at his home. He was born July 7, 1973, in Worthington, to Darrel and Marianne (Reether) Briggs. Chan graduated from Worthington High School. He then graduated from Minnesota West Pipestone with a degree in carpentry.

Chan married Tiffany Stowe on October 19, 2011, in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple lived in Worthington. They later divorced. Chan owned & operated, with his father, Water Treatment and Conditioning Systems. He also had his own business, Seal Deep. Both businesses were based in Worthington.

He was a member of Solid Rock Church in Worthington. He enjoyed grilling, wood working, animals, watching movies, attending flea markets and making things from wooden pallets.

Chan is survived by his son, Payne Briggs, Worthington; mother, Marianne Briggs, Worthington; two sisters, Rhonda (Paul) Besel, Austin; and Darla (Ferlin) Miller, Cannon Falls; and four nieces & nephews, Tucker (Timmy) Besel & Mckenzie (Alex) Weis; and Hailee & Carson Hammel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrel on August 6, 2011; and his grandparents, John & Marion Reether; and Marvin & Vivian Briggs.

A time of fellowship will be from 4-6 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A memorial service will be 6 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Scott Peterson. Burial of cremains will be Thursday at 8 pm at the Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson.
