Obituary

CHARLES WESLEY "BILLY" ASHBAUGH, age 94, of Rushmore, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center.  He was born on  January 19, 1919 in Rushmore to parents, Charles and Edna (Rouse) Ashbough.  He grew up on the family farm near Brewster.
Charles married Katheryn Johnson on November 24, 1953 at the Presbyterian Parsonage, south of Rushmore.  After their marriage the couple moved to Rushmore and Charles worked with his father on the farm.  He then bought a truck line and hauled livestock and grain. He also bought school busses and drove bus in the Rushmore and Worthington area.  He eventually sold both businesses and went into a partnership with Arba Johnson who owned and operated Rushmore Implement. Charles continued being a partner in  Rushmore Implement until retiring.
He enjoyed fishing and going for his afternoon drive.
Charles is survived by one brother, Fred (Arlene) Ashbaugh, Burien, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Katheryn on February 1, 2000 and one sister.
