CHARLES STEPHAN THOMPSON, age 56, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Luverne, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born March 10, 1954, in Luverne, to Virgil and Ilse (Meudt) Thompson. Chuck graduated from Luverne High School and he served his country in the United States Air Force. Chuck married Jane Hueser in September of 2003, in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple lived in Luverne. Chuck worked at Scotts Lumber in Sioux Falls, SD. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Luverne. He enjoyed gardening and making amazing furniture for his family. Chuck is survived by his wife, Jane Thompson, Luverne; daughter, Carrie (Joseph) Thompson, Sioux Falls, SD; former wife, Cindy Thompson, Sioux Falls, SD; three step children, Bonnie (Scott) Hansen, Bellevue, NE; Mandy Wohlford, Bellevue, NE; and Jason Wohlford, Luverne; eight step grandchildren; and two brothers, Steve (Diane) Thompson, Brandon, SD; and Dave (Marion) Thompson, Sioux Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a step-granddaughter, Olivia.
