CHARLES "CHARLIE" M. VENENGA, age 82, of Worthington, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Crossroads Care Center in Worthington. He was born May 1, 1941, in Worthington, to Eugene and Dorothy (Norman) Venenga. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. Charlie graduated from Worthington High School in 1960.

He lived in Worthington for most of his life. Charlie was a farmhand and also did snow removal. He worked at Western Implement before retiring in 2002

He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, music and his collection of sweetheart dolls.

Charlie is survived by his many cousins; close family members, Karen (Jerry) Minett, Ruthton; Anita (Larry) Thomsen, Tyler; and Joan (Marlin) Winsel, Freeport, IL; and special friends, Diane Roth and John Larson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene on January 1, 1998; and his mother, Dorothy on July 26, 2001.

Funeral Mass will be 11 am on Friday, Mach 8 at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthhgton, officiated by Fr. Tim Biren. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Worthington.
