CLARA AGNES LARSON, age 91, of Worthington, died, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her home. She was born April 20, 1921 in Iona to parents Fred and Catherine (Hoffman) Platt. She grew up on the family farm  and attended St. Columba Catholic School in Iona.
Clara was united in marriage to Edward E. Larson on May 2, 1939, at St. Columba Catholic Church in Iona. After their marriage, the couple lived in Iona. In 1944, they began farming southeast of Wilmont. In 1972, the couple moved to Worthington. She worked at the Thompson Hotel in housekeeping from 1972 until 1975. She then worked at the Holiday Inn also doing housekeeping.
She was a member of  St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington. Clara enjoyed her weekly card game, cooking, gardening, crocheting and her family was most important.
Clara is survived by her children, Phil Larson, Bennett, WI; Patricia Majeres, Waterville, MN; Kathy (Chuck) Fodness, Rushmore, MN; Barb (Pat) Baumgartner, River Falls, WI; Stan Larson, Jackson, MN; Janet Larson, Worthington; Mike (Wanda) Larson, Reading, MN; Gary (Diane) Larson, Round Lake, MN; Deb (Chip) Peters, Worthington, MN; Brad (Kimberly) Larson, St. Paul, MN and Lauri (Ken) Vander Veen, Worthington;  thirty five grandchildren, eighty two great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and a brother Charles (Mary) Platt, Slayton, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on November 27, 1999; parents; a son, Paul Larson, in 1967; an infant daughter, Cynthia Larson in 1953; six siblings; and two sons-in-law.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. with  a rosary at 8 p.m. at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Visitation will also be Saturday one hour prior to the service at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington.
The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Worthington with Father James Callahan officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Wilmont
